I don't really care what kind of guy Ricketts is (his bio makes him sound like a spoiled little richboy douchebag, to be candid) because the "Would you like to have a beer with him" bullshit is just a terrible way to judge how good an administrator/boss/President/owner will be. My understanding is that the Ricketts empire is very much in disarray and that he has come dangerously close to overextending himself with the purchase. Which means, whether he's an asshole or a heckuva guy, not much money is going to be there to make late season or off-season acquisitions. The only remotely enjoyable part of this deal is watching that son of a bitch Zell crying like a bitch while his creditors pick him apart. I like how completely Kap misses the point.
