My show is tewwible!

Some of you might be stopping by today just because Teddy G. wrote a column today about Dusty Baker backing out of an appearance on “Quite Frankly With Stephen A. Smith” set for Monday. Dusty’s reason for backing out was that that he found out, from our pal, Len Kasper that an associate producer for the show was e-mailing Cubs “blogs” and asking us to promote Dusty’s appearance and to give out information about how fans could get free tickets. In the first e-mail, the author, Quite Frankly Associate Producer Jackea Chan said, “You guys can definitely feel free to BOO Dusty if you so please. ”

That seemed a little fishy to me. So I posted the e-mail message on our messageboard.

Here’s the original e-mail.

The bold is Jackea’s not mine.

The same e-mail went to Kurt Evans at Goatriders of the Apocalypse and he sent it along to Will at Deadspin.

That is apparently when the crap hit the fan. Because I then got this e-mail from Jackea.

Notice the “to” line. Strange, I know. But I got it anyway. I figure it was CC’d to a whole bunch of people an effort to CYA.

All I know is the “boo” line was in the first one, and not the second. I wasn’t sure the first one was real, but apparently it was. I just figured then that Jackea actually knew what it would take to get a crowd to hang with Dusty. One that wanted to boo him.

But in the end, quite frankly, I just don’t care.
