Andy and Kermit land their biggest guest to date (we said “big” not tall), as Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune answers their questions about the upcoming Winter Meetings.

True to form, nothing is easy for our intrepid heroes.  Paul did the interview via e-mail.

So how do you get e-mailed answers translated over to an audio podcast?

Well, wouldn’t you know?  They figured it out.  So kick back, and enjoy the podcast, an enlightening discussion with Paul, no matter how creepy the voice the guys found for him is.

  1. Anonymous, it certainly wasn’t painful. For instance, I liked it. Regardless, though, just shut the fuck up and don’t press the play button if you don’t want to listen to it. It’s the big green circle with the white sideways triangle superimposed on top of it. Ya, that thing. Did I already mention that you should shut the fuck up?

  2. MySays, I’m an oldfashioned kind of fella. I quote:

“If you want to subscribe to the Podcast (heaven forbid) so this font of excellence ends up automatically on your iPod, go here.”

It ended up on my iPod automatically. The Podcast sucks in the off season. I’m sorry you feel so strongly about it. Have a cookie, why dont’cha?

  3. Nope, that musician’s not me. The closest I’ve ever been to Germany is the Huber Brewery in Monroe, Wisconsin.

As for Anonymous, he’s entitled to his opinion. He’s also one unsubscribe button away from not having to have the podcast downloaded to his iPod.

  4. I agree Anonymous is entitled to his own opinion. His opinion just happens to suck during the off-season. Plus, there’s no mute button for it….

  5. First timer here to Desipio, landed here after reading “WRIGLEYWORLD” – Fan-tastic little book BTW, I devoured it and passed it along to my best CubFan friend…great Christmas gift …*cough* you owe me a beer Kaduk *cough*…

That said, I have to agree with “Anonymous”, the Podcast is pretty bad.
Specifically, the peyote bit @ roughly 28 minutes, while after a good start, ended in a monumental /fail.

Sound like any baseball team we all love?

I appreciate Desipio; the writing is good – I enjoy your style Andy – and I will continue to give the Podcasts a chance, but like the playoff outlook in August, my hopes are fading.

Your Bookmarked, thanks for your work.

Gimme a holla if you want to smashed after a spring training game sometime…
