The Cubs have released a video explaining ‘phase one’ of the Wrigley Field reconstruction.  It’s got everything you’d expect.  Some cool aerials shot by an illegal drone, lots of pictures of broken bricks in the snow, some architectural renderings of how things are going to look not only in the bleachers, but in the triangle lot.  Of course, they feel to need to brag about picking up that stupid ‘caretaker’s shed’ again.  It’s basically a doublewide built out of bricks.  Cardinals fans move those things every day.

But when you watch the video, you’ll see the single most impressive feature of this entire rebuild.

To me, the most architecturally unique thing shown in this entire video is Cubs VP of Ballpark Operation Carl Rice’s haircut.

Look at this thing:

What keeps that up?  Where did he hide the rebar?  My god, it’s glorious.  When Moe Howard died, nobody thought this kind of thing could ever be replicated.

If Carl Rice can pull this off, there’s no doubt the remodeling at Wrigley is going to be spectacular.
