If I remember correctly, him, Edison Volquez and John Danks were called "DVD" or something ghey in the rangers organization.
Then Diamond had control issues, then got hurt. After TJ surgery, he struggled for a couple of years and the rangers let him go.
But at one time he was supposed to be the best of the three. He's done pretty well this year in the minors, hopefully he's finally healthy pitching like he once was.

Why did these two get called up is what I meant to ask. I mean, I know Cashmoney hasn't been all that great lately, but hasn't he been starting before his callup? Why not start him?
