I have been in America for 9 years. And there are no Sonic's near where I live. The only breakfast place I go to is Danny's after some late night drinking. But you have to try the McGriddles. Pretty good stuff.
The McGriddle I had gave me heartburn.
I'll tell ya what, though...the Mickey D's "Big Breakfast" is one of the best breakfast bargains going...

Every Sunday morning, my dad and I would go for biscuits & gravy at this place called Coffee Sam's, on the corner of Argyle & Kenmore.
We'd sit there, and all the good ol' boys would come in, all dinged up from the previous night's barroom activities. Each guy would walk in, the cook would ask how they did, and they would each answer, "Gave better'n I got."

I had an ex that was addicted to those rolls. She was also addicted to other things, part of the reason she's an ex.
Also, Clarke's across the street is good for the usual 5am "breakfast," and there's always the chance you'll be hit on by a drag queen spilling out of Berlin.
We always hit the Clarkes on Lincoln right next to the Biograph.
For deli in Lincoln Park, the best was always Frances' on Clark between Deming and Wrightwood. Good pancakes, too. Not sure if it's still open. Anyone?

Friday I went to an Ann Sather's, and had the French Toast Fantasy:
They take a few of their cinnamon rolls, slice them and toast them up, and stuff them with mascarpone cheese, then top it with powdered sugar, honey-glazed granola, blueberries and strawberries, and topped it all off with whipped cream.
All was good until the second bite, when I started coming prematurely and uncontrollably all down my pantlegs, my shoes got all wet, and everyone was freaked out about the faces I was making
I might spend a couple days in Pennsylvania Dutch country in a couple weeks. I should earn a black belt in breakfast by the time I'm done...

There's a Sonic in Venice, a little south of where I live. I've had lunch there, and have had lunch at the Sonic in Maryvale, AZ.
McGriddles aren't that bad.

"Yolk" on Michigan, just north of Roosevelt, has bacon waffles, which is one of the best breakfast foods of all time. But the best place in the city is Salt & Pepper on Lincoln/Wrightwood/Sheffield. It may be located in Douche Central, but the food is good and the waitresses (there are 3 that have been there for at least the year and a half I've been going) are all awesome.

I ate at that Yolk (there's another on Wells, just south of Chicago) the morning after the Cubs Convention /Desipio Confab in 2007 when Len first met us for a few beers. Go to Longman and Eagle for fried chicken and waffles and one of the best bloody marys you'll ever drink.

That's really depressing information.
Recently had brunch at nana's. Rediculously good biscuits and gravy. Also chorizo eggs benedict.
The brunch at Jane's was great as well. So was the brunch at Francessca's on North/Milwaukee/Damen.

I spend about 1.5 hours at Wishbone every Thursday morning. The place is generally empty. I get all the coffee I can drink. I order a breakfast and just chill and work. Free wi-fi. Unfortunately, the jambalaya omelet is only available on the weekends. But, they do have other deliciousness.

All things being equal, the architectural boat tour kicks ass over a chance to watch these guys play ball, but seeing as how you wouldn't have the contacts you've had so that you can enjoy a very social trip if it wasn't for those gutless cocksuckers, so it might be just a little weird if you didn't go to

Was a staple back in the Lincoln Park days. Never been for breakfast, only dinner. Very good place. Before Deleece, the chef was the personal chef for DeNiro or some other Hollywood bigwig.

Blackwood's actually expanded their options. But the breakfast bowl with half pork/half brisket is still the best breakfast for the money, even if I wind up tossing some of it because I don't want to microwave leftover eggs.
