Anyone checked out/ordered from this place? My dad and I picked some bourbon samples to try over New Year's.  Shipping is all screwed up in the UK, though, and it could take a while to get here.

When the topic of saving a little more came up about a month or so ago, my yearly baseball package purchase was the first suggestion out of my mouth.  I've got too many other things to do to spend time being frustrated about a team of millionaires disappointing me year after year.

Saw this tonight.  Well, part of it.  The non-stop shaky cam made me nauseous enough that I couldn't look at the screen when the camera wasn't on the tripod.  What a waste of 20 bucks.

I hate this show if for no other reason than because the commercials that aired during it reminded my wife that Grey's Anatomy was premiering.

The bad reviews didn't do this movie justice.  What a steaming pile.

I don't know how to root for a team that does this. 

I was born in 1982, so I wasn't aware of the disasters in 1984 or 1989 until after the fact.  I've been a Cubs fan my whole life, but only since about 1998 have I truly paid attention.

2003 was the first year I can remember tying so much of my summer to baseball and then we have 2004 to follow.  2005 and 2006 were throwaways, eaten by DFB and his gang of useless dead weights.  Last year was easier to take because even though they won the division, it was mediocre and the Cubs had been so miserable against Arizona all year.  I didn't expect them to be as easily run over, but I had no expectations of great things.

This year was supposed to be different.  I got the baseball package on cable and for the first time since moving out of Chicagoland, I watched A LOT of Cubs games.  I saw at least some of 90% of the games.  I stayed up to watch the ridiculous 10:40 ET starts against these same Dodgers.  I made my wife watch ESPN Deportes for the bottom line scores while we were in Mexico just to see what the Cubs and Brewers had done that day.  I spent probably five days of work hours on Desipio this season, reading the back-and-forth in most of the threads. 

Then comes this series, and I wonder why I did any of those things.  If the season ends Saturday, I'm going to be sick to my stomach.  All of that blood, sweat, and tears and this team doesn't seem to give a shit with very few exceptions.

I know I'll be back next year, but right know I'm questioning why.

I was there at the beginning of this month.  My wife and I stayed at the Riu Vallarta in the Nuevo Vallarta part of the bay.  If you're looking for an all-inclusive, it wasn't too bad, both price-wise and accommodations.  Through Funjet, 6 nights/7 days ran me about $2500 for two people including airfare.  There were events throughout the day and entertainment every night.  Five restaurants (three specialty requiring once-per-stay reservations), five or six bars, and a decent amount of beachfront. The staff was really attentive with the little things, but sometimes overzealous.  It was a little bit far from downtown (15-20 mins.) and the airport (30 mins.), but cabs were really cheap (less than 15 bucks).

As for day trips, do the Los Veranos canopy tour.  There are 14 zip lines going back and forth across a river and a couple of them are near 500 feet up.

Grab a guidebook of phrases, too.  The English was pretty good for most of the people we met, but it can was hit or miss downtown.

Also, the time shares are desperate for people to sign up down there.  They'll give you all sorts of deals just to get you to come and listen.  The cost for two day trips for two people was less than the regular price for one trip for one person.  We could have had bottles of A-list tequila, cash, and free stays to name some of the other offers.

I don't know what's worse, PPE's hyperreactive ledge jumping or your constant bullying assholism towards people you don't agree with.  You must be a fucking peach to be around.
