This Mississippi plan sounds like a great idea. Since they decided they dont want to play by the Federal rules, I'm sure they wouldn't want their fifilty lucre either. Looks like a $240,000,000,000 should cover the last 20 years (have to get back to them to run it back to 1890). Have them make it out to "US Treasury". While money is appareently tight down there, the market for second hand semi-automatic rifles is really hot right now. What the fuck, TEC? Designing and building nuclear weapons ain't cheap, man. Testing new rockets is kind of expensive, too. But I guess if any other state wants to hand over 3200 square miles to the Gubmint to get blown up, they can take WSMR's mission from us.

iTunes 11 is now out. All my iTunes purchases appeared for iCloud streaming on the MacBook Air; the digital copies of my music all reside on an iMac. That alone is pretty cool, and it's about time they overhauled the app. I'm eager to see if performance has improved, which is what almost everyone's main complaint about iTunes seems to be.
You can't own music, man. I can, but that's because I'm not a penniless hippie.

... her older brother and ‘The Social Network’ star Jesse Eisenberg. Slakhate: rising. Well, don't tell him I bet we're actually pretty safe in this thread. Except that time he posted on page 116 Posting in this thread and reading this thread are two different things. Nobody reads this thread.

Also, I want all the idiots out there to take notes on what happened in the Monday night game with the Steelers and Chiefs. Ben Rapistberger goes down with a shoulder injury. What do the Steelers do? They hang in there with their backup quarterback (who is an actual backup by the way) and they win the game in overtime. No excuses.
Well, the Chiefs are a huge excuse. THIS. The Steelers would have lost to any NFL team other than the Chiefs last night. And the Bears with Jason Campbell. As someone who has to watch the Cardinals every week, I'm calling bullshit on this.

If this were presented as a fictional story I would say no one would ever believe this. The premise is so preposterous that no one, especially the Iranians, would suspect that these Canadians were really the 6 Americans who had escaped from the Embassy. There is almost no action in this film once the Embassy falls. So Affleck had to build suspense with cinematic devices. He does it well. He is a better director than he is an actor. But I guess that bar is set pretty low.
I don't know - have you seen Mallrats? I saw Chasing Amy. [shudder] I saw Reindeer Games. I saw Daredevil.

It was bad enough when Nate Silver ruined baseball by forcing all of us to gargle the balls of sabermetrics. Now he has to ruin GUT FEELING, unskewed political predictions too?! "If you tell me you think you can quantify an event that is about to happen that you don`t expect, like the 47 percent comment or a debate performance, I think you think you are a wizard. That`s not possible," Times columnist David Brooks, a moderate conservative, said on PBS earlier this month. "The pollsters tell us what`s happening now. When they start projecting, they`re getting into silly land." "Nate Silver says this is a 73.6 percent chance that the president is going to win? Nobody in that campaign thinks they have a 73 percent chance — they think they have a 50.1 percent chance of winning. And you talk to the Romney people, it's the same thing," Scarborough said. "Both sides understand that it is close, and it could go either way. And anybody that thinks that this race is anything but a tossup right now is such an ideologue, they should be kept away from typewriters, computers, laptops and microphones for the next 10 days, because they're jokes." Nate Silver is a man of very small stature, a thin and effeminate man with a soft-sounding voice that sounds almost exactly like the “Mr. New Castrati” voice used by Rush Limbaugh on his program. In fact, Silver could easily be the poster child for the New Castrati in both image and sound. Nate Silver, like most liberal and leftist celebrities and favorites, might be of average intelligence but is surely not the genius he's made out to be. His political analyses are average at best and his projections, at least this year, are extremely biased in favor of the Democrats. Post your (small) picture, Romeo. The final author in question: Really? You hoopleheads bolded the wizard part and didn't go with this?

Joe Mather (pops champagne)
Really? THANK FUCK FOR THAT. That cunt can fuck right off. I like to think that when this team's no longer shitty that I'll look back on the period in time when Joe Mather was starting in centerfield and/or leading off and I'll be able to confidently point to these days as the absolute nadir of my experience as a Cubs fan I still rate 2006 and 1997 as worse.
