Some might say this isn't a very generous way to treat a waiter, but I applaud morph for his honesty. Why did the guy have to go out to eat if he couldn't afford the tip? "I'm going to use two democratically elected outcomes that I don't agree with as an excuse to save 20 bucks because I'm an asshole." Better. Yes

The "D" is silent. The movie isn't.
I apologize for my flippant entry above. I was very offended by this movie, as I was by the rewriting of history in "Inglorious Basterds". But this movie is an orgy of blood and gore for the sake of blood and gore. I heard that Spike Lee (who admits that he hasn't seen the movie, is ranting about the use of the "N" word. Yes, every character uses it throughout the movie. Tarantino might justify that on the basis of realism. If that is his justification then how does he explain the unrealistic and exaggerated blood and body parts that he uses to underscore the killing? Maybe I have been sensitized by what happened in Newtown and Webster, but this movie was obscenely violent. Oh yes, he rewrites history. The movie rewrites history by inventing a "Klan" like vigilante group that comically can't see through their masks. The movie takes place before the Civil War when the White power structure didn't need a "Klan", because the governments of the Southern states made the masked "Klan" vigilantes unnecessary.
Best part of the movie was Quentin Tarentino dying via nuclear bomb explosion.

The menu does change from time to time, and trying to understand the courses at Alinea from its descriptions would be like truly understanding Moby Dick soley from being told "its a book about a whale". Sounds like they take a page from Thomas Keller's playbook - pricey fixed menu, occasionally changes, worth selling your children into bondage for the chance to partake. There's a place in Toronto that does the same - Ruby Watch Co, except they change their menu nightly. In Yountville, (Napa) we call it The French Laundry. The guy who runs Alinea trained at French Laundry. Worshipped would probably also be an accurate term. He also put some time at El Bulli with the Adrias, which probably had nearly as much influence on him. Have any Desipiots managed to get into Next for one of their concepts? No but I walked by a bunch of times. Also frequently seen the CDC and his head sous at the bar I hangout at.

Not to go all Grassley on you fine folks, but what the hell happened to this channel?
My consipiracy theory is that aliens and pawn brokers are using this channel as a propaganda network. So see my new show on the History Channel about it 7/8 central
