James Franco looks terrible. http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/NJ-Murder-Suspect-Kai-Hatchet-Wielding-Hitchhiker-Internet-Celebrity--207727121.htmlAuthorities investigating the killing of a New Jersey lawyer have issued a murder warrant for an internet celebrity known as "Kai the Hatchet-Wielding Hitchhiker," a nickname he got because used a hatchet to subdue a man who ran over a California utility worker.
Union County officials say the suspect, also known as Caleb Lawrence McGillvary, 24, who has appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," was last seen at a rail station in the Haddonfield, N.J. area and may have cut his hair to try to change his appearance.
Officials believe he killed Joseph Galfy, who was found in his Clark, N.J. home on Monday, dead of blunt force trauma. Prosecutors say Galfy met McGillvary in Times Square Saturday night, and brought him back to his house to spend the night.
They say they believe the two men had a sexual encounter.
Authorities said McGillvary pondered on his Facebook page Tuesday the idea of waking up in a stranger's house with a groggy head and injuries, and the realization of being drugged and raped. "What would you do?" he wrote, according to officials. Uh, what?

"...but you still want to get a guy who's committed and is going to conduct himself appropriately. As far as we're concerned, that was satisfied." What could go wrong? Nothing really. Philadelphia has the most forgiving fans in baseball. They'll understand if he struggles, especially at home. I really don't see a downside to this. I hope he gets all HGH'd out and pitches them into the playoffs. Fuck it. I hope they win it. Me too. I love Big Z.

Um... She'll still have bigger boobs than Gwyneth Paltrow, but wow. Edit: MUCH bigger. I missed the part where she got implants. Christina Applegate had this same thing done, for the same reasons, some years ago now. She actually had CANCER. Jolie was very likely to get it but hadn't yet. I had my butt removed and replaced for the same reason many moons ago. WORDPLAY

Like what of Travis Wood, the inspiration of the original "EPSTINK" missive? Along with Dave Sappelt (dang!). Sappelt is destined for the Greatest Thread but apparently young Ronald TorreYES is really showing some good signs in the minors. Could be a role player down the line or something.

Can we start turning this thread into a keeper thread? Like what of Travis Wood, the inspiration of the original "EPSTINK" missive? He's a part of the new tradition right? Or is he trade fodder? Yes AND yes?
26 years old, making just over $500K this year. Under team control (arbitration eligible) through the 2016 season. I'd say it's okay to go buy a Wood shirsey. Or just turn your old 34 into a 30. The feelings this team gives me are weird. They're 16-22 and on pace to be very bad, record wise, which is all that matters. Still, they're only five runs from having an even run differential. What the hell? They lead the NL in extra base hits. What the hell? Their starting pitching, again, has been actually above average. What the hell? I mean honestly if people can't see that this team when augmented over the course of another season and a half is going to be not only good but sustainably good then they're just trying to be dipshits. That's all there is to it. This is a very bad team that I don't think has gotten their asses handed to them on a baseball field more than one or two times this season.

Didn't watch any of this season and all accounts were it was just watered down and bad without Harmon. True?

I recently learned of some very strongly worded criticism of Mr. Wallace post-death and they made me sad. Does he suck and we're just fake smart jags? Or are people who are overly critical of him the fake smart jags?
Better yet - we're all jags.
If I find out the #Cools out there hate Tom Pynchon I'll just throw myself into a dumpster and live out my days with Ryan Reaves.
I've read more than a few things about Wallace's friendship/rivalry with Franzen and I think Franzen might be a jag, if that helps. If you want to just hate yourself read this. Apparently #smarts really enjoyed it. It was written by someone from TonkerLand, http://exiledonline.com/david-foster-wallace-portrait-of-an-infinitely-limited-mind/

Bulls with the hard-fought Deserved Win to force Game 7. Yay?
Not that it matters or anyone cares, but I just want to throw out that Joakim Noah is maybe my favorite basketball player ever. I've been a fan since the goofy bastard was at Florida, but my manlove for Noah has reached new heights with this series' performance. My irrational hatred of the guy has almost completely burned out. At some point in the next week or so, I expect that to change somewhat. I'm sure he'll be enough to make you ass itch because his rebounding will keep the Bulls firmly within 30 points each of the four games.
