Well, I personally think this movie blew right past tongue in cheek homage to Wrath of Khan and straight into juvenile, ham-fisted awkward rip off. In short, it was a visually impressive turd pile.
First two acts were fine. But the more you love old Trek, the more you'll probably hate the ending. I was disappointed. Wife notsomuch. Eldest Murton was "meh." I had no beef with the first two acts, but the third act was just awful. The characters, plot, and villain are all upgrades over the 2009 movie. The third act didn't work for me, but at least it made sense (again, a nice upgrade over the 2009 movie). Karl Urban is the balls. I really hated this movie, but Karl Urban is pretty awesome.

Would you mind trotting that joke out about 70 more times?
Nope. I invest more time and energy in one month with this team than I have in the past four years of Cubs baseball combined. My interest in them is young. But my basketball butthurt is mine. It has always been mine and where I focus it is my decision only. It doesn't have to make sense to anyone, even me. My butthurt is my mother, my father, that brother in the alley. It's my doctor when I'm in need, better than coke or even weed. I know it. It's my friend. My main boy, thick or thin. So if LeBron opts out after next season and Miami is left with a broken-down Wade, Chris Bosh and a bunch of decrepit role players, where will you take your butthurt? Brooklyn?

If an employee getting $10 an hour is worth $20 an hour to me as an employer, I'd rather pay the $15 up front (and pocket the $5) for an extra hour of work than lose $30 the next month when they take the 1.5 hours off (sure, I made the full $20 off their overtime hour of labor, but I'm at a net loss of $10 when they cost me $30 the next month - and more if I now have to hire another worker to cover people's comp time). The reason it works so well for government employees is because so many of them aren't close to optimally productive, so nobody notices if you're gone an extra day here or there.
I'm all for flexibility for employees, but I wouldn't be shocked if workplaces that can easily define a worker's value based on output metrics (manufacturing, for instance) don't offer this. I wouldn't be surprised if few employers offer it altogether.
Unless my understanding is wrong, comp time is one-for-one, isn't it? The employee's choices are pay at 1-1/2 times their normal rate, or getting the hour "back." The people that I know who can get comp time get it at 1.5x. I only get comp time for hours worked. That's on the Illinois A.AFSCME contract.. so, I think it varies I don't think there's any text submitted for the bill in question yet, but the descriptions I've seen suggest comp time at 150% the overtime hours. Passes on mostly party-line vote.

Now that Jason Collins has made news as being the first active gay athlete in a big four North American professional sport, one should listen to all of the callers (and I presume fans) who make such declarations incredibly difficult in pro sports, i.e., pretty much anyone calling The Score right now on Boers and Bernstein.
There are equally horrible comments on pretty much every news story written about this as well, comments that I am desperately trying not to gil.
Think what the reaction would have been had this happened 20 years ago. Or even 10 years ago. I imagine there'd be more spittle 20 years ago.
