Opening Day is nothing more than the first of a 162 game season. To put extra weight on it seems a bit silly. I would imagine that pitching in the playoffs is nothing like pitching on Opening Day. Sure, we get all excited about the new season and the players go out there wanting to impress, etc. But come on.
You can just as easily point to his June/July and how it correlates with a Cubs resurgence.
Zambrano is your number 1 starter because he's the best pitcher. Period.

Beyond delish. The mediteranean bread as an appetizer is a must.
Follow that up with a sundae at Margies and angioplasty at Northwestern.
I saw a thing on TV about the pot pie, and was wondering how it tasted. Since you gave a scouting report, I'll give you a pass on "delish". To be fair, he did preface it with "Beyond". Are you having a laugh? Yes. Yes I am. |

Have we recruited Apex for the Cody's softball team, yet?
We need a brotha on the team...you know, to play during the games when the sun is still out.
Cody's at Paulina and Barry? Quality joint. I'll be there tonight after my softball game. We play in a summer league. There's another team that Geno sponsors who got a fall league team together that I'm playing with. I'm with Mike...the place is balls-out. They even treat Brooklynites with class, don't they, Fork? And that juke box?!?!?!?! I love the place. Like they have a cherse, er, choice...great place. Excellent food - they have an extensive array of take-out menus. Art of Pizza (see: Feedbag) is one block away, so you actually get some decent thin crust quickly. Still not fast enough for Fork. Moe: This deep fryer can flash fry a buffalo in 30 seconds. Homer: Oh, but I want it now! |

Did you fellas act up enough for the Cubs to throw me out of my season tickets?
We were fine, although Apex and Slaky were sure to trample over my own personal cardinal rule of no cussing. So outside of a few f-bombs and a handful of cocksuckers, we were golden. Also, i didn't mean to come off as a class warrior by justifying Apex' Fletch-like punch of the Garvey pic because Sluggers charges so much for beer...so let me say that the destruction of property was warranted because said destruction of property was Steve Fucking Garvey in a Fucking Padres uniform at eye level. What's wrong with those people? One time, while wasted at Sluggers, I took out some anger on an Odibe McDowell picture. The bouncer was cool at first, then dragged my ass out when I tried to actually take the picture off the wall. Steve Garvey...jebus. |

I just thought it was cool that of all people, Dave Chappelle got two hours on Inside the Actor's Studio. That totally awesome two hours was followed by an hour with the Simpsons cast, which wasn't nearly as funny as Chappelle or as it should have been. It was basically Lipton asking them to say lines from the show in their characters.

Also, as a supplement to Marmol, I'm still holding out hope for Wood. I just don't trust Howry.
Said it a million times--the deal with Howry is that he's one of those odd guys that pitches BETTER when he's used frequently. When he gets infrequent work, he sucks. When did Howry pitch his best this year? Answer--when Dempster was out. Another reliever with an odd usage pattern is Mike Wuertz. When he starts an inning fresh, he stinks. But when he comes in with men on base, he's money (2nd best pctg for not letting inherited runners score in the NL....behind the Marmot). Will F. Ohman is an oddball, too. If he's used in a major league baseball game, he sucks. Kerry Wood, I dunno, love the guy like everyone else, but he strikes me as more of a circus curiosity than anything else. Bit player. That's some funny shit, right there. |

Fucking "Dirty Work" has a 20% rating on Rottentomatoes.com with an average user rating of 3.9/10...
Well, Half Baked got a 23% with an avg rating of 3.9/10 and it's a certified classic. Deuce Bigalow, a 24% and 4/10. Sure... Dirty Work is far from a great comedy, but it does feature Chris Farley in his final movie role. "And there's the Saigon whore that bit my nose off!"If Lebowski ain't a 9.9/10 over there, I ain't ever clicking on that damn site. . Screw them, then. They're on my list, which now has two websites on it, the other being espn, in support of Kermit. |
