I remember going on Dempster hate-reveries with Kermit back when he was a reliever. Those were good terrible times.

Nothing in this sentence is plausible.  You might as well have added a visit from Sasquatch to make it more believable.

#TrollDempster is like "Hello, this is dog." It's so fucking close to making sense that people find it hilarious because something something.

Has anyone figured out what trolldempster means yet?

Is this a real question

Yes. Is it just a random hashtag someone made up or is there a story behind it?

Kermit thought Dempster not accepting the Braves trade was in line with Dempster's shitty sense of humor or, in other words, he was trolling (pulling a fast one) on Cubs fans by not taking an obviously awesome deal merely because he's a dickhole.

Does that help?

Now that I've explained it I'm guessing it's super funny.

I'm really hoping I can get my spec script for a 70s-style buddy cop movie starring you and RV greenlit.

Tentative title: HOOPLEHEAD & SPUD.

Thanks Slaky. I was just curious if this was similar to the Hitler video thing (hilariously building off an existing internet meme) or entirely new. A Kudos bar to Kerm for inventing his own meme.

I will now retire to a dark corner of the internet to develop one liners for SPUD and his archnemesis Tater O'Famine.

The saddest part is how accurate so many parts of this likely are.

The saddest part is how accurate so many parts of this likely are.

You're right.  As lol-worthy as it was (one of the best thing this fading Internet star's ever written IMO) I did find myself getting angry toward the end.  This line really summed it up:

Quote
Jed Hoyer
Now we’ve got about 20 minutes to get something done.  Otherwise we’re stuck with Ryan.  We get nothing for him, and since we can’t take the risk he won’t turn down his qualifying offer next year we wouldn’t have gotten draft pick compensation for him.

I'm glad to play along as the anti-Dempster meatball, but in all seriousness, even in my worst visages of the guy, I could not imagine he'd end up boning them like this.  On the other hand, Slak told me on Twitter last night that this Villanueva guy did homer in his first 2 at-bats for Daytona.  Even if he didn't though, there's always the chance that this could turn out to be a blessing down the road but it'll be at least a couple years before we can conclude one way or the other (unless Delgado gets out lf the gate hot, and then it'll matter a lot less what the Rangers prospects do).  But regardless of future outcomes, it's clear that Dempster forced the Cubs to get a deal done with nearly no leverage.

And if I could but my gravy-stained meatball hat back on, I'll admit that I'm at least glad that Dempster's chances of returning in LOCAL MEDIA, and showing up on dat damn TV of mine have been seriously reduced.

Still asshurt about my admittedly obnoxious self being vindicated by the actions of your paragon of Northside ashhatery I see.  I'm willing to let it go, Eli--can't we all just get along?

As Oleg, Chuck and I sat at Kincade's last night eating 40 cent wings, drinking two buck half-pints of draft and wondering how on Earth we were going to persuade our waitress to let us see her naked, I asked myself how life could get any better.  The answer soon presented itself: ask the aforementioned hot waitress to get the telly right next to our table changed to the ANA - TEX game.  How we laughed!

Everyone knew he was an ashhat, so no vindication there. And last night's enjoyable destruction still only accounts for about 3% of Dempster's season, assuming no broken toes. Methinks we need to see a bit more before we declare his pitching to be shitty.

I declare you UNVINDICATED.
