I don't think that DBF was his predecessor, I think it was Macias. Viewed from that perspective, he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

Yes it does. I still remember up until about June that people were saying that he was about the biggest waste of FA money and so on and how last year was his career year playing in Arlington. Looks like he's brought that shit here and has been a major fucking steal at 4 mill.

As much as DLee, Ramirez and Big Z deserve our man-love, without DeRosa, Dance Fever, and Bon Temps, this season would have been over on Memorial Day.

Is "Bon Temps" Lilly? If not, I would like to add Lilly to that list.

Bon Temps = Fontenot
Bull Moose = Lilly
Then I submit the Bull Moose for consideration. 13-5, 3.74 ERA.
Plus, if I submit him for consideration, he said he'd make it quick and painless.

That includes me.
I opened my big mouth when he was signed, playing know-it-all Dad and informing all my family members that he sucks and it was a huge waste of money.
Now I get reminded of this every time he hits, fields, starts at another position, hustles, and just generally does everything asked of him without complaining.
Derosa hits a pinch hit double -
Smartass son # 1: "Jeez he sucks doesn't he Dad. What is Lou thinking putting him in Dad?"
Derosa makes a nice infield play to start a double play and end an inning -
Smartass son # 2: "Man does he suck. We sure could have used Macias on that play right Dad?"
Derosa works a nice patient at bat, chokes up with two strikes and drives a man in -
Smartass daughter: "Boy Derosa sucks. Dad what were the Cubs thinking when they signed him?"
So Dad's a big dummy and gets called on it by a 12 year old girl.

Kudos to Theriot for starting the inning off like a TRUE leadoff hitter.

Can someone explain why they intentionally walked Ward, only to pitch to Ponderosa? The guy was 4-4 and a double play wasn't going to get them anywhere. Shouldn't they have walked DeRosa to preserve a force play at home?

They totally should have walked DeRosa. But they're...not smart. Or good.
That was a damn bunch of fun. Felt like a win the whole time.

The bad news is there was an injury during the game. To me. I don't know what the hell happened, but I pulled up lame like Soriano rounding second running from my office (and the radio) to watch the excitement on the TV. Felt something pop in my calf. Holy shit I'm out of shape. I guess I need to stretch before watching games from now on.
