No, he hasn't been "solid." An 800 OPS from a 1B in today's game is unacceptable. Does he even rate in the upper HALF of production from NL 1B? And he has a nice fat no-trade clause in his contract, which is nice. Sure wish there was a way the Cubs could dump his sorry ass in the winter and pursue Mark Teixeira. |

Geezus Key-rist. The ONLY good thing I can say about the Cubs' recent play is that maybe this is the team's run of laying a giant turd this year, instead of in October when it counts. Because this reminds me so much of that goddamn Arizona LDS, I don't EVER want to see that shit again.
