I like the new National album quite a bit. I was one of three people that didn't think Boxer was the greatest thing in history so I'm glad they made this one.

And here is where we part ways, sir.

Oh you're a Boxer guy eh? I didn't hate it, mind you.

Actually, I'm a "I do not like the National at all" guy.

Did you at least check out Between the Buried and Me?

Just not for me.

I've tried a few times to get into the National, but it does nothing for me. Glad to hear I'm not alone.

It makes all the sense in the world that they've been opening for MGMT.  Is a Tame Impala an Australian thing?  Otherwise it's a terrible name.

Don't know. But I have a new favorite album. I'm going to listen this thing into the ground. They have other stuff too. I plan on celebrating their entire catalogue.

Speaking of folksy stuff from across the pond, check out Mumford & Sons.  If you can get your hands on their debut album, it is really, really, really good.

http://www.youtube.com/user/mumfordandsons?blend=2&ob=4#p/u/3/5HHnDEnsdno  Specifically, check out Little Lion Man.

Holy shit.  Sigh No More is fucking awesome.  I will be listening to nothing else for the foreseeable future.  Well, that and their EPs as well.  This is blowing me away.

10/31 show at The Riv (I think it's The Riv).  Can't wait.

Bonus: Pitchfork hates it.

I see the comparison to Fleet Foxes.  However, this band makes Fleet Foxes seem bland.  And I do like that Fleet Foxes album a lot.

Mostly that both Pitchfork and I think this band is the suck.

They put on a great show.  I saw them a few months ago at Lincoln Hall (fantastic venue, btw) and they rocked it.  Not as good on a large stage at Lollapalooza.  Should be pretty great at the Riv.

New Black Angels came out today. Go listen to the song I posted on Facebook. Very awesome.

New Black Mountain came out last week. Here's a song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mypHId8vOJw

Also downloaded a new EP put out by The Most Serene Republic which is fucking crazy good. I think if you like Radiohead you'd dig this but who the fuck knows. Here's a song from that - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtsAUOy3LPM
