I was at a concert with thousands of people on Saturday so your logic is poo. How was soundgarden? I've heard sound at the UIC sucks. The sound for Mars Volta wasn't great at all. In fact it was really bad. I think they would have been fantastic had the sound been good. Soundgarden sounded fantastic. Though they were so goddamn loud my ears were ringing for 24 hours. In fact I think they're still a little fucked up. But it was easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. Cameron is a completely different drummer than he is with Pearl Jam and I mean that as the highest praise. Cornell hasn't lost a single thing in his voice and Thayil just rules. They played 23 songs and were heavy as hell. Played almost all old stuff. Only three songs from their last album. Tons of pre-Superunknown stuff. I didn't get to hear two songs I really wanted them to play (Hands All Over, Loud Love) but couldn't have been more impressed. They're also working on a new album and will return to the road to support it. |

They put out a really good album all things considered. I don't know if Soundgarden's new album will be good. If they continue in the trend before they split it would be pretty meh. If their live show is any indication though, they're probably going to go heavy which would be excellent. If Pearl Jam, AIC and Soundgarden could do some kind of monster tour that would be incredible. |
