I read this tripe today on his site and wanted to comment on it.

Quote
It made the highlight reels, but what wasn't said at the time is that Felix Pie would have made that catch in a routine manner, because Pie would have been playing deeper to begin with and because Pie is faster than Edmonds. It's been said that Edmonds deliberately plays shallow so he can make these catches look harder than they really are, and I think there's something to that.

Far be it from me to defend Jim Edmonds on anything, but what a crock of shit.  Felix plays as shallowly as Edmonds, and yeah, he'd have gotten back there faster but as much as I still don't like Lassie that was a hell of a catch.

So, I was going to post and instead I saw this:

I don't even remember my post about the photos.  It was something about that creep who takes shots from 400 feet away in the right field bleachers and posts them like they're art.  But come on.

Al's skin is so thin you see his bones.

Come to think of it, my profile page might have been the last straw for Albert.

That's pretty funny.  And personal.  I bet that he said "harumph" after he wrote that.

How long do you think it took him to decide on the font for "The Banning"?

That's pretty intense.

Did you take the picture of the baloney sandwich from the bleachers?

Pshaw!  I once got a letter from Markos "Kos" Molsoutas (the owner of SportsNation) telling me to stay off the site.

Don't even think for a minute that Moulitsas and Bleszinski trust Al with such important design decisions as that. Particularly after seeing this:

Mitch Beckman, director of development for Project 3000, expressed his gratitude to me for the $1450 I gave on behalf of all of you last night. Thanks also to BCB reader love the ivy, who generously donated one of her two T-shirts, which I presented to D-Lee, and which you see in the photo above. I had a brief talk with Derrek, told him where the shirt and money came from and wished him good luck this season. He and Christina were grateful for your generosity.

"Thanks for the $1450, guys. That really put us over the top. And thanks to "love the ivy" for the XXL shirt... I'll be sure to give Mark your number. Now, if you don't mind, we'll have security escort you out."

I'm sure you all remember, as I do, the tearful news conference Derrek Lee held in September 2006 when he first discovered that his daughter Jada had Leber's Congenital Amaurosis, a disease that will eventually blind her.

This a slightly defeatest attitude/thoughtless statement from Al, no?

"Here's your cash.  Aren't we swell?  Although, we really don't think this contirbution will make a difference.  We still believe it to be inevitable that your daughter will eventually lose sight from her left eye as well."

It's a XXL, Kerm. Form-fitting shirts don't show wrinkles.

Maybe we should invite DLee to our rooftop game.
