What's the place that is off of Diversey?  Diversey Lanes?  That'd make sense.  Back behind the Target and that complex on Elston?

Lincoln Lanes is sweet.

I've been to a punk show there.

Just for the hell of it I checked out the 10pin Bowling Lounge (Marina Towers) web site.

"patrons
10pin draws an urban professional crowd who enjoy exceptional cuisine, specialty drinks and the retro sport of bowling in a fun, contemporary atmosphere. the lounge is a favorite spot for local celebrities and personalities. the hip scene and inventive menu attracts non-bowlers as well."

I wonder how long it would be before we got tossed out.

I've bowled there, at a company function.  We don't want to have a Desipio event there.  It sucks.

Heh.  Dubbs reminds me of  Trixie I worked with back in 1996.  Polynesian girl from Palatine or somewhere.  Probably a Fremd grad.  At the time I was living at Southport and Grace, which was the closest I've ever lived to the lake in 13 years of living in the city.  When I told her I lived on Southport, she crinkled her nose and asked, "Where's Southport?".  I told her "2 blocks east of Ashland" and she responded with "Ewww.  Ashland.  I never go that far.

Diversey River Bowl.  Oleg is well aware of that place, as am I, as we had a buddy who lived directly across the street from there in 2000.  Damn fine place.  While Lincoln Square is an awesome area to hang out and that bowling alley above Ace Hardware is pretty good, Diversey River most reaches the equilibrium of convenience (even the subhumanites can exit at Fullerton be less than a mile from there), size, space and rowdiness for most of the pleasure seekers here.
