Lincoln Lanes rules.

Maybe I'll dust off my 8-pound hot pink Bratz-brand ball and my Jimmy Choo-brand bowling pumps.

And my lucky feather boa.

Diversey does have rock 'n' bowl, I think.  Bring your glow sticks.

Diversey River Bowl.  Oleg is well aware of that place, as am I, as we had a buddy who lived directly across the street from there in 2000.  Damn fine place.  While Lincoln Square is an awesome area to hang out and that bowling alley above Ace Hardware is pretty good, Diversey River most reaches the equilibrium of convenience (even the subhumanites can exit at Fullerton be less than a mile from there), size, space and rowdiness for most of the pleasure seekers here.

Diversey Bowl is awesome.  However, it's one drawback is that it's not really near any public transportation.  I'm just sayin'.

Heh.  Dubbs reminds me of  Trixie I worked with back in 1996.  Polynesian girl from Palatine or somewhere.  Probably a Fremd grad.  At the time I was living at Southport and Grace, which was the closest I've ever lived to the lake in 13 years of living in the city.  When I told her I lived on Southport, she crinkled her nose and asked, "Where's Southport?".  I told her "2 blocks east of Ashland" and she responded with "Ewww.  Ashland.  I never go that far.

This story is so great that I think it should be an epitaph on your tombstone.

Oleg is right, though: Lincoln Lanes is LITERALLY steps from the Western Brown Line.

More steps for Oleg than for the rest of us. He's little, you know.

Also, if the wind is right, you can get a whiff of the McDonald's fryer as you walk by.  If it's late enough in the day, it'll even be stale grease you smell.  I hate that stupid McDonald's.

Only if you're afraid of buses.  I live right by it, so I like the idea.  Most nights the music is pretty good.
