Was I just being obtuse when skimming through thread titles in here, or is there really not one about outstanding beef burgers?

Five Guys on Clybourne, just south of Southport. In-N-Out type chain, just opened a couple months ago. Great burger, better fries.

This.
And each burger is named after a metal band, which makes them awesomer.

Every time there's a show at the Beat Kitchen that we want to see, we hit up Kuma's first. Looks like early April is going to be that time.

That place just rules. Tons of great beer and the best burger around. Just have to get there somewhat early or you'll wait forever. The place is tiny.

I see RV is stealing his material from last week's Shoutbox again.

The bar is great. Good beer selection, and they know their liquor too. I discovered North Shore Distillery there. And when you order a single malt, they serve it so you can drink it properly, even if you don't know how to properly drink it.

If it was really like In-N-Out then the fries would suck.

The double cheeseburger for $1 is a steal at any of your local McDonald's.

I meant the comparison more along the lines of Five Guys also being one of them there highfalutin' upscale fast food places, with a limited menu, and fresh beef cooked right there in front of your grill.

It's no longer a buck, brohan. It's $1.19.  No, the McDouble, which is a double cheeseburger with one less slice of cheese--is a buck.   Still at $1.19 for two patties and two slices of cheese, that's hard to beat.

You could just bring your own piece of cheese and save the .19.  Knowwhatimean?
Since when did they come out with this "McDouble" character?  I need to eat more fast food I guess, or at least go when I'm sober.

First I've heard about it, too.  I'm calling "shenanigans" until I can confirm its truthiness.
