CHICAGO -- Ryan Freel, designated for assignment on July 2 by the Cubs, was dealt to the Kansas City Royals for a player to be named later on Monday

I wasn't that pumped about this thread at its inception. Now that we're posting stuff that has absolutely nada to do with CIN, HOU, MIL, PIT and STL I like it even less. I never should've locked the Turdthrow thread but I thought it was funny. Is it still locked?

EDIT: to acknowledge that Freel played for CIN at one time. So there is a literal connection but...

Cincy's 22 runs allowed tonight is pretty shitty...but after the Cardinals series, maybe their starters figured "hell, I should blow the game, so the bullpen won't get the opportunity."

Or it's their way of getting yanked early and being saved from Dusty leaving them out there way too long.
