The Pillsbury Throwboy.
I thought he was the Hefty Lefty. I guess he's big enough to merit two nicknames.

Due to Lorenzen's considerable girth, he has been given a collection of nicknames, which include: "Quarter(got)back",[3] "Hefty Lefty",[4] "The Pillsbury Throwboy",[5] "The Abominable Throwman", [6] "J.Load",[7] "Round Mound of Touchdown", "Tubby Gunslinger" [8][7]"BBQ (Big Beautiful Quarterback)"[9] "Battleship Lorenzen",[10] "Butterball",[11], "Lord Of The Ring-Dings"[12], and
"He Ate Me"

Wrong. It's a 2 way tie between J.Load & Lord of the Ring-Dings.

Both of those are terrible.
Though neither is remotely as awful as "Quarter(got)back."

Profootballtalk.com confirms CBS analyst Boomer Esiason's report that JaMarcus Russell has been fined heavily for tardiness and weight problems.
Russell has reportedly missed multiple team activities, and his behavior was described as a "pattern not an aberration." Every bit of Russell's progress from late last season has been wiped away by a lost offseason and horrendous play early this year. Once again, there's no light at the end of the tunnel in Oakland.

Was Kyle Boller the QB that NFL scouts were raving about when he came out because he was able to kneel down on one knee at the 50 yard line and throw the ball between the goal posts?
I thought that was Jamarcus Russell. Or maybe
Jamarcus Russell
Elton Brand
was the one who had scouts raving about the size of his
momma's
hands.
Kyle Boller, Jamarcus Rusell. What's the difference, really?
Jerry Krause'd.
I think that was Tyson Chandler's mom's hands.

This thread caused me to think a bit. LSU, for all of their winning over the last ten seasons, has turned out very few legit NFL studs.
Joe Addai, Dwayne Bowe, LaRon Landry = pretty good
Bradie James, Kevin Faulk, Eddie Kennison, Josh Reed = not bad
Jarvis Green, Devery Henderson, Randall Gay, Marcus Spears, Randall Clark, KEVIN STELTZ! = Meh
You consider first-rounders like Russell, Glenn Dorsey, Buster Davis, and Michael Clayton....appear to be big-time legitimate busts.
Here's the complete list as compiled by Football Reference. Not particularly impressive.

Kevin Steltz might turn out to be decent if given an opportunity to play and put his heady, ball-hawking grit and long flowing blonde locks on display. Not so for his twin brother Craig on the Bears though. That guy sucks balls.

Has LSU produced busts on a level above other top universities?
I'm asking, not attacking here....seems like if you isolate any major collegiate program like USC (Bush, Leinart, Jarrett, Williams) or Texas (Young, Simms, Benson - albeit slight recent vindication, Sweed, Tubbs) you can find plenty of major busts, mostly just due to the large number of guys from those schools who were actually drafted.

Your question intrigues me. Not enough to look it up, but it does intrigue me.

I just saw this earlier. I'm seriously wondering how much worse he has to get before he has a legitimate shot at supplanting Leaf as the biggest bust of all time.
