To this very day, I almost always work out multiples of 9 in my head like this: 7-1 = 6 9-6 = 3 7*9 = 63 Hold all ten fingers up. From left to right, count off seven fingers. Put the 7th one down. 6 fingers on the left. 3 on the right. 63 |
