This was stupidly great.  Thanks to you guys, I was prepared for horrendous dialog, so I actually didn't think it was all that awful.  Even if it was, though, the visuals were incredible enough to make up for it.  I was in the front row of the Imax 3-D theater, and it was still amazing.  I want to see it again when the crowds thin out a little bit.  I bought tickets at 2:30 yesterday, and the 7:00 was already sold out.  The 10:30 was completely packed, hence the front-row viewing.  Definitely see this while it's still in the theater.  Imax, if you can.

You can understand that it's cheesy at some parts but it's nowhere near terrible. I found it really easy to suspend any disbelief and just enjoy the movie, which is rare for me. This is the kind of movie they make so people like me can hate it with my entire body. I'm glad I didn't succumb to that urge, not that I ever had it.

Yeah the plot was standard stuff, but I expected that. The dialogue wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

It looked amazing. I thought the animation in the Star Wars prequels looked stiff and fake, but with Avatar I forgot I was watching animation. The naked blue people were convincing. And unlike Watchmen, the naked blue people wear loincloths so you don't have see any blue penis.

So, if you ever find yourself traveling back through time to last night, just turn your head more.

It reminded me of pocahontas. It was pretty to look at and cool in 3D, but the plot was familiar and the dialog was predictable. I'd still recommend seeing it in 3D because it was entertaining, at least. Just don't come expecting to take anything away from it.
