If there's another game as good as this Canada-Switzerland game, I'm going to be tickled.

Who tickled you after the Russia-Slovakia game?

Considering the Ducks just traded Giguere and got Toskala back in return, they've gone all-in on Hiller as their long-term solution.

So stop this right now.

Knew I should have printed that comment in green font

Leave it to CFiHP to unwittingly walk right into the meatball trap.  Jebus.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

Sadly, the sandman tickled me before this game. The China-Russia women's game knocked me out.

However, I'm pretty excited at the result. Sad Panda with a big goal.

Here in Canadaland, the pre-Olympic expectations were that your northern neighbors would win the most medals.

That's just because their pre-Olympic expectations were unrealistic they're impatient assholes.

Nate Silver is still projecting 31 total medals'd

That would be just 4 shy of the OWN THE PODIUM goal of 35 and only a couple off the US's projected first place finish.

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2010/02/consensus-olympic-medal-count.html

QuoteWhat I've done is to compile the projected medal winners in the 86 Winter Olympic disciplines from five six nine sources that forecasted individual winners; these are the Associated Press, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, McClatchy-Tribune, Examiner.com, Canwest, and (for some events only) ESPN.com and betting odds at Ladbrokes and bwin. Nothing terribly fancy here: I've taken a simple mean of the number of medals that each country was expected to win in each discipline, as averaged across the nine sources.

Those projections are just in fun (if you're pro-Silver) and just plain trying to drive up traffic if you're not.

Averaging a couple rankings isn't exactly accurate or sensible, although I'm sure he'd agree it's not meant
to be taken very seriously.

Canada has a really MILFy ice shuffleboard player with a fabulous rack. Fair amount of hotties in general participating in this event.

I guess I should have just linked to the ESPN medal predictions, lest anyone make the mistake of taking the numbers very seriously.

Cheryl Bernard's breasts bring some good weight. (I hope IAN was watching.)

Denmark, for their part, have two pairs of sisters, each with a looker and a beast.

There might be a Jenny Finch factor involved -- you expect all beasts, so anyone above average seems hot.

I'd agree about Bernard.  At first glance, I thought the same about the Denmark team, but I couldn't get past the blonds' teeth.

Chreryl Bernard gets a thumbs up for sure.

Serious snaggles. And the decent-looking blonde had kind of a strange lip.

The stern-looking brunette, though, apparently posed for the 2009 Women of Curling calendar. (Possibly pictured somewhere in here.)

And their respective sisters are beyond brutal.

Apparently this is what the Olympics have reduced me to...

Madeleine Dupont:

Camilla Jensen:

Camilla Jensen, Madeleine Dupont, Denise Dupont:

(FWIW, neither Denise nor the team captain, Angelina Jensen, appear to be quite as brutal as the team's alternate, who did not see action yesterday.)
