I could play Fallout 3 for the next year and not get sick of it. So much fun. I'm going to rely on some good stories from you guys to let me know if this game is any good.
I felt that about it at first, but I hit a wall around 35 hours or so and just went
ahead and beat it (around 40 hours total). Once you hit a certain level you just
destroy every thing ever once you look at it and so it got a little boring.
That said, I'm sure I could go back and focus on the half of the map I didn't get
to with a new character and enjoy it.
I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 2, but I just slogged through Dragon Age so
I need a break from Bioware.

Sadly I've play almost 54 hours at this point. I've just raised Liberty Prime but I'm going to travel around the Wasteland with Fawkes and try and discover all that I can and hopefully beat a lot of the side missions. Like Kerm, I'm a little achievement happy, so I'm going to try and get as many as I can.

Note to whoever buys this game: Make sure you register your DLC codes with the EA account associated with your Gamertag. I apparently had two EA accounts, and the one I made with my Gmail account does not have my GT on it, so I've been on hold with EA's support for 45 minutes waiting to get it switched over because the game is telling me the code is already in use.

This is kind of to Pre, too... One of the expansion packs extends the levels to 30.. I like that alot. I logged about 50 hours, and then I started over b/c I wasn't thrilled with my path (I wasn't aware of the 20 level cap) so I'm being a little smarter about perks and skill points

Back to Mass Effect 2....
I finally got the account changed, so I started up the game. It turned out I didn't have a save file from when I beat the first game, so I had to go back and beat the end boss again. It was a reminder of just how easy that game got towards the end. Anyways, I imported my character to ME2 and it seems to transfer over some of the major plot points (your origin, whether or not Wrex/Kaiden/Ashley died), whether you were a Paragon or Renegade, and the credits and ore you mined in the first game. You get the option to change your appearance/class. I switched the default Shepard, and continued as a Soldier like I was in the first game. I'm still in the prologue, but everything seems much more streamlined from the first game. It plays more like a shooter, the AI is (mostly) smarter, issuing commands is much easier, and everything just seems a lot more polished. I'm not sure what the default backstory is if you don't import your character, but I'd be interested to see how the game changes depending on how you played the first game.
