I'm conflicted. On one hand, I was in Pre's play. On the other, I don't know what Sansa Fuze is and I listen to music on my iPhone almost every day.

Tried one today at the Apple Store at old orchid (they have them in stock, by the way).  They are fun to play with, and the MLB application is bacon covered tits with steak sauce.  If it could run iChat and had a camera, I would certainly pick one up.

I'd like to be able to connect an external iSight to it through the dock connector.  There's a USB adapter for cameras, so why not FireWire?

I tried it at the Best Buy as well.  First impressions:

The touchscreen is unbelievably responsive.  Almost too much-I consistently hit the wrong keys on the keyboard by trying to type too fast.  Because of that, its really not an input device of any kind (yet).  I tried to run some google docs on there to do some light word processing, but it was a bit rough.  I could imagine that your fingers would adapt to it, but for now, its tough. 

I think this thing will be to computers what the Wii was to video game consoles-an simple, user-friendly interface that allows people who do limited computer things (email, internet, pictures and simple games) to avoid having to deal with all the "bloatware" that comes with any computer.  This seems like a device my mom would love.

As for me, I'll wait until Generation 2 comes out.  I'm sure some of the bells and whistles the techie nerds like me are looking for will be included then.
