his OPS has gone up 40 points since July 1. It's still not great overall, but hopefully this means the break-down-to-build-up process is starting to work.
.851 OPS in that time, but only 3 walks in 71 PAs.

I don't even care about Castro walking anymore. I think he got overly hung up on being patient and it messed with his approach. Given what a disaster this year has been, I think we have to be happy if he simply gets back to what he was in 2011-12, even if that means he never walks more than 40 times a year. Anything else is just a bonus.

Ayup. I'd rather not let the perfect be the enemy of the good on him at this point.

I'd love to see a team so good that it can bat a Castro in the 6th or 7th spot.

Any Castro?

I would draw the line at Fidel.  But maybe his brother...

I'm figuring Ariel Castro swings a mean stick.

What?
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

Work release.  Get it done, Theo!

Maybe it's time Sveum sits Castro down and makes him watch stuff like this.

Nah, just figured we'd never need it again.*

That flub on a routine grounder yesterday was just classic him.

He makes errors. So does Baez. You can have Barney play there instead he won't make as many errors.
