OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

In 70- to 80-some years on God's green earth this Elmont Swain had never seen "The Godfather" or "Goodfellas"?

I'm trying to figure why some of the crew at Audrey's were arrested & had to be bailed out (Darryl) and some weren't (Boyd).

Also trying really hard to give a shit about Ava's storyline.

Really hoping that Danny gets a chance to test his 21 foot rule against Raylan before all is said and done.

Don't watch previews. Too many of them spoil interesting or surprising things that I don't want to know in advance.

From what I've read about "the 21 foot rule" a large part of its effectiveness is the element of surprise.  Supposedly the guy with the knife can cover the 21 feet in the time it takes an officer to identify the threat, then draw his gun and fire 2 rounds.  So by warning the guy about what he's going to do, Danny is pretty much negating a major element of the rule in that the threat is identified and the officer is obviously not going to hesitate to draw on him.

Which is exactly what I'd expect from a dumbass like Danny Crowe.

Prediction: he tries this bullshit with Raylan and makes it maybe 3 strides before getting perforated.

"Uh, Raylan, may I be excused from the table?"

"No, you may not."

Doesn't look like much on paper but the way those two delivered those lines was hilarious and an example of my favorite thing about this show.

SPOILER

Clichés? Art is about to retire.  So of course he gets shot.  Don't accept a cigarette from Boyd.

I wasn't counting strides, but that is what happened. CT never said who'd be doing the perforating.

I wish shows wouldn't do this every damn time. I realize I forgave True Detective for every tired cop procedural trope it trotted out over eight episodes because ACTING! WRITING! CINEMATOGRAPHY! or whatever. But shit, this was so obvious they didn't even bother to not spoil it in the preview from last week.

Art better live or I'm going to kick rocks.

Ah Dewey Crowe, my favorite hapless criminal.

As soon as that old lady went back into her house I thought, "she's coming back with a gun" but knowing that didn't make it any less funny.

Then he manages to beat up a guy and take back his gator teeth necklace, quite probably his second or third greatest victory in the history of the show (No. 1 being winning his lawsuit and potential no. 2 being the time he impersonated Raylan while committing armed robbery).

Which he then caps off by busting in on Daryl and Boyd, stealing their heroin and confessing to Wade Messer's murder over a live wire that the Feds were listening to.

All that, and he still doesn't know what third person is.  I kind of hope he gets reunited with Dickie Bennett in prison, but if this is it for Dewey Crowe on Justified, it was a hell of a way to go out.
