Anybody got tickets for Friday August 6th against the Reds?  I'm trying to help somebody out.  Why I would offer to do so by providing Cubs tickets this year is beyond me but whatever...

I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

For $20, fans can purchase a ball autographed by one of the current Cubs players, manager Lou Piniella or Hall of Famer Ernie Banks. Proceeds will benefit the National Wildlife Federation in support of its Gulf Coast relief efforts.

Sales will take place in front of the Wrigley Field gates, so even if you don't have a ticket, you can purchase a "Mystery Ball" or make a contribution. More than 1,000 baseballs will be sold.

Even selling Mystery Balls for $20 is streets ahead of the annual BCB t-shirt "fundraiser", unless Theriot is keeping $18 of every ball sold.
