I'm looking forward to the Maradona meltdown if Argentina craps the bed.

I should have remembered it was a World Cup year when I was filling out
my deadpool picks.

I picked Maradona last year, decided against it this year.

Would be my biggest failing since...the last failing.

I know you probably liked the Glee episode dedicated to her, but she's too old to be relevant anymore duder.

Soccer sucks

THI.  It's like watching a marathon run, with a ball involved somehow tangentially.  Paint dries in a more exciting fashion.  That said, I hope the USA does well.

I admire the effort Powen but this ain't the place.

I disagree.  Hockey's almost over, and what little I've seen of the Cubs this season has been enough.  This World Cup is soccer's best chance to gain traction on the messageboard.

Look, I'll talk soccer all day. I like it a lot. But I've already said too much.

Oh fuck no. I can fill this place up with mindless football (American, with testicles and pads and the forward pass) chatter all summer long. I see no reason to discuss this awful, awful atrocity of a sport.

I am more than willing to rediscover every heavy metal band and or episode of Futurama I have ever heard or seen to avoid talking soccer.

I believe soccer fans just call it "Rugby for Pussies."
