The biggest indictment of this game and sport was the announcer's (probably correct) insight that if Roben dove when he was obstructed going for the partial breakaway in the 72nd minute, the Dutch  would have been given the PK and won.

Can I get a ruling? Is this irony as delicious as I think it is?

By the way, I think it's only fair to point out that I am bitter and twisted about last night's result, and likely to remain so for some days.  As such, I think it's probably better if I don't try to participate in any rational discussion of the game.

Fuck Howard Webb and fuck Spain.

This weekend I read somewhere that the World Cup was like a "Twilight" movie.

Everyone runs around for two hours.

Nobody scores.

If you say it sucks, a billion people will tell you that you just don't understand it.

The MLS All Stars are getting raped by Manchester United in Houston.

I guess this is probably like Matt Murton and the NPB All Stars losing to the Yankees in Osaka Prefecture, but still.

Pshh.  The KC Wizards beat Manchester United just the other day.  No big deal.

No, really, no big deal.  I do not care.

Fun game. Good exhibition for the league even if they got killed.

I like how Hernandez' United shirt says Chicharito on the back.
