Don't worry.  It's cool in Kentucky as long as you are not a parent or guardian, or a person wielding influence over them (coach, teacher, etc.).  Also, you can't take them across state lines without written permission for their parent or legal guardian.  So, scratch that romantic getaway to Canada.
