Because Matt Murton just broke Ichiro Suzuki's record for most hits in a single season of Japanese Professional Baseball.

Quote
The 29-year-old Murton has 211 hits this season for the Hanshin Tigers. Suzuki, now playing for the Mariners, had 210 back in 1994 for the Orix BlueWave. Murton is expected to re-sign with his Japanese club this winter rather than test the free agent waters in Major League Baseball.

210 singles and one double.

157 singles, 33 doubles, 3 triples and 17 home runs SO SHUT UP.

It's actually remarkably similar to his 2006 season, if you pro-rate it for the same number of at-bats he got in Japan SO SHUT UP

I love internet Apex with every fiber of my being, except when comes on here and throws turds in Matt Murton's face.  Fuck you, Pex.  Yeah, I'm blinded my throbbing Murton boner.  That guy can do no wrong.

I've seen Murton play precisely 2 times while he's been in Japan, and I hear his swing velocity is up

No. I'm not reading that.

I perused it.  17 homers in Japan.  That seems low for a corner outfielder.
Can you help me live a little more?  I expect good news.

"A strong Christian, Murton felt that God wanted him to be in Japan. So he, his wife, Stefani, and their son, Micah (now 20 months old), moved overseas"

I guess that kept God so busy she didn't have time to look into resolving the Middle East situation or the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

They have God in Japan?  I'm skeptical.
