Purdue played like shit away from Mackey this year. In the end, Hummel's injury was too much to overcome. They sure tried but it just wasn't gonna hai. Worst. Injury. Ever.

So every game you watched of them they sucked?

Hummel is a little bitch.  Crying on the sidelines like a girl with feelings.

The Illini looked awesome up until they didn't.  They're just not good enough to play with #1 seed teams.  Their best athletes are like the 7th men on a team like Kansas.  Did that Richmond kid make the trip to the game?

He was on the bench in warmups.

I will say, to BC's point, that it seems like every year it's all about getting rid of these awful seniors. Well, these guys were Bruce's from the beginning. He had four years to turn these guys into competent, watchable basketball players. While McCamey was good at times he's not an elite player. Davis and Tisdale are absolute garbage. If I was that tall and couldn't find my way into the paint because an average point guard could kick the shit out of me, I'd hang myself.

What a lame team.

At least Carwell rose from the dead and has a shot at a final four.

Sorry Pex.

I second that.

In other news, Illinois is somewhere between awful and terrible right now. Ugh.

Upon some further review, looks like Purdue was beat by a juggernaught (although, as I write this, it appears that Kansas is making a run of it).  Good news is at least  VCU is making every ESPN talking head (especially Vitale) look like a sputtering idiot.

I don't mean to get all BC you guys, but I still get a lot of enjoyment out of watching Kansas lose.

My glass is half full. Butler is going to the Final Four again and I just ordered my "Purdue Lost To a Really Good Team It Turns Out" shirt from basketballisgheyitturnsout.com.

So, yay.

3, 8, 11, and maybe a 4 in the final four? What a world. I'd like to see the bracket that pulled this one off.

You coulda just penciled that in before the games even started.  Doesn't matter what team has those seeds.

The person would probably be a moron. If you picked these teams right you don't deserve shit.

The dude who's leading the whole world on Yahoo! got all but VCU right. He picked Kansas like everybody else. He's got Kentucky winning it all, so you know he's probably really bright and comes from an awesome family.

What TJ Brown said, basically. A move to Missouri doesn't make any sense. But using them to get a raise from Purdue makes perfect sense. Purdue issued a statement today saying they're making Painter an offer to stay.

Some interesting speculation and reasoning here:
