ELP blew donkey dong.
Anything from the Works albums and later sucked.
Their earlier live stuff, particularly Pictures at an Exhibition was a lot of fun.
Pretentious but pretty creative.
I had one music teacher who insisted Keith Emerson and Isao Tomita were the future of music. I always found the synth-in-place-of-an-orchestra pretty cold sounding. Especially when Stevie Wonder showed the world how awesome synthesizers could be.
