I loved that last night Moyer was just hanging out on the MLB Network set yukking it up and talking about rehabbing next year so he could pitch in 2012 when he'll be 49.
He had his Tommy John Disease surgery today. I know it's a "routine" surgery, but it's not minor. They have to harvest a tendon from another part of your body, then rip your elbow open and tie in the new tendon. The night before I have a filling I'm in a catatonic state, barely functioning in my own house, much less driving to Secaucus to hang out with Mitch Williams on the TV.
But I'm with Jim Frey, I still think Paul Kilgus is going to be pretty good.
Mitch Williams has been out of baseball 15 years now? He and Steve Wilson were the youngest lefties in that trade.
