Aledmys Diaz, Jeremy Hazelbaker, and Jedd fucking Gyorko.

Diaz: Fuck that dude, but......... .455 BABIP. Second in MLB (Let's ignore that Dexter leads the league with.458)
Hazelbaker: .161/.212/.419 in last 33 PAs
Gyorko, literally, has half of his hits from 2 games.

Please, just fuck these guys. They're already 4 behind in the loss column to the Cubs, and they are only going to fall further behind.

At this point they're going to have to duke it out for the Seligcard. They don't fucking matter.

No one thinks this is true.

When it's mid-September and they're 10 games back, maybe we can revisit this then.

Aledmys Diaz, Jeremy Hazelbaker, and Jedd fucking Gyorko.

I was looking at their numbers this morning.  How is that even possible?  The trouble is, they're keeping the Tards afloat whilst the guys that can actually bat a bit warm up.

Yeah that's what's really irritating. Their starting pitching this year is mostly mediocre, and the expected regression from Grichuk appears to be happening, so they just pull two more magic rookies out of their fucking asses and keep on trucking.

Who gives a shit?  The Cubs are 15-5.  Fuck those clowns.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I mean, I think the Cubs are going to win the division/pennant/World Series this year, I did not realize I could no longer be irritated by anything involving the Cardinals. I was looking forward to punching down on them for years, the schadenfreude is made a bit more difficult when they keep scoring 15 runs a game inexplicably.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

Oh I know what Eli was referencing, I just don't get the "who cares about the Cardinals?" idea from Fork and Huey. I can be irritated by their continued existence and refusal to go away and die without it having anything to do with my feelings regarding the Cubs chances. I want bad things to happen to them regardless of whether the Cubs win 160 games or 60.

Yeah, I'm with you now and I agree.  I mean, I don't give two shits about The White Sox.  But The Cardinals seem relevant.

They finished April 7 behind the Cubs in the loss column.

Seriously, fuck these guys. This year is the cratering we've all been waiting for.

No, I intend to pay attention to the Cardinals this year. Specifically when they play the Cubs, but in general, because I want this to be a season that leaves them feeling frustrated and sick to their stomachs, because they are so dramatically outclassed by their division rivals.

What's cracking me up is the number of Cardinals fans I see already giving up on the season. Busch will be half empty by September.

Not likely. They'll probably still win 85 games because God sucks

Oh they will but Busch will still be half empty. Cardinals fans are so entitled now they are pissed about having to compete for the wildcard. I saw multiple comments on VEB saying "I'm not watching 162 games just to see if they can make a 1 game playoff."

Hell, last year the stadium was half full of Cubs fans during the playoffs and you could still get tickets at face value on the day of game one because a lot of them don't even really give a shit until they've at least advanced to the NLCS.
