As long as he doesn't deal copious mounds of coke, good signing.

Quote
The wideout has made his biggest impact in the NFL on special teams. He recovered two key fumbles for New York in last season's NFC championship game versus the San Francisco 49ers.

I admit that I thought he was a special player when he was at Michigan State. But, then, I am a noted football tard. He can clearly return/cover a kick though, by cracky.

Solid special teams player. Still has good size and speed for a wide receiver. Certainly worth taking a look at as a wideout, since it's hard to judge wide receivers on their production with the Redskins (see Lloyd, Brandon) and he was buried behind guys like Cruz, Nicks, and Manningham in New York. I'd look at this purely as a special teams signing, though.

This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

Kelvin Hayden, of the Pick 6 off Grossman in the Super Bowl, is now a Bear.

So, only a few months until Bearbonnais!!

At the risk of BC-ish anguish, it seemed as though the football Gods were giving me a giant fuck you, as I remember distinctly Hayden's senior year at Illinois, Ron Turner converted him from wideout to DB (he did still catch a game winning TD pass against Indiana, Illinois' only Big Ten win that year). Had Ron left him at WR, Kelvin would have gone undrafted, but he was a second round pick at corner, and there to intercept Rex on a pass play called by Ron Turner.

Anyway, Hayden sucked horseballs last year for the Falcons but they aren't a Cover 2 scheme and he wasn't healthy. If he is healthy, this is an excellent move for depth and a potential fallback if Tillman gets hurt or Jennings falters.

The Bears also signed Jonathan Wilhite, another corner, but that has special teams written all over it.

I'm liking Phil Emery a lot. Anyone else?

Oh don't even get me started with how Turner dicked around with Christian Morton as well. It was ridiculous.
