Correct. We can all get hacked off at the other G8 nations, but it would be awful to even consider protesting against a group that calls Poland and Denmark as members.

Wow. Is Diamond Gems dead, replaced by calls to sleepy suburban police departments who confuse Queen Elizabeth driving down Dempster with Lady Di's motorcade going down Dempster?

I think this is as good a thread as any to make the NATO clusterfuck thread. Fight in Bridgeport between a bunch of anarchists and 80-year-old Sox fans (it's a shame a side had to lose) last night during a protest March gone bad. The closure of the CHICAGO RIVER! The Fox Lake Metra Station featuring tighter security than Ben Guiron Airport.

My wife getting Monday and possibly Friday off because she works in the Equitable Building while the absence of threats to Niles means I have to work both days.

NATO leaders possibly threatening to break away from any alliance with the U.S. and nuke us to the stone age after being forced to watch in person the Cubs (Dempster 0-1) vs. the White Sox (Danks 2-4) with the meatballs in full glory.

Anyone planning on attending any of those games? Anyone planning on leaving town? Anyone (I'm looking at you J. Walter Weatherman) planning to protest?
