No Cutler, Forte, Peppers, or Urlacher...

This season is OVAH.

I've learned not to react to these things.

Every year I marvel at people (not just Bears fans) who take the preseason seriously. Every year it turns out to be completely irrelevant and yet they fall for it again and again.

"Plummer, in 1999, "contributed" 1,017 fewer yards to the Cardinals than the league average QB would have brought to the table. As far as modern seasons go, Plummer's '99 stands as the worst."

Not "completely". If a guy gets hurt, there's a whole fuckload of relevance.

I should clarify that I meant things like the scores are irrelevant, which is what meatballs are upset about. That said, I shouldn't have to clarify that because Goddamit, Fork.

Are you saying that you take the third game of the preseason like it's bullshit, bullshit?

The word "virtually" (instead of "completely") is your friend. It downscales from 99.9% to "completely made up".

When Major Wright picked off the third deflected Manning pass I stood up and cheered and high-fived some people because FOOTBALL. Then I joked to DadPex that Wright injured himself on the play and we'll see him again in about October.

The Bears said he was the next Mike Brown. I've said before that he's obviously inherited Mike's ability to injure himself following impact plays. He just has fewer impact plays.

I'd settle for the next Mike Green.
