His offensive numbers look about as good as expected, has anyone seen/read anything about him behind the plate so far? I haven't seen anything about it since spring training.

Well, he's clearly no David Ross, or he'd be in the Majors by now.

One report I read said he looked "pretty big" behind the plate.

I'd be more impressed if a scout told me somewhere that he didn't look big.

I was waiting for this response. I deserve it.

Yeah, he's good.

The Cubs admitted yesterday that he'd be a very probably Sept. call up this year. Does anyone doubt he could help out right now with the bat?

Looks like's been behind the dish for 26 Games, and 224 1/3 innings, wherein he's made 3 errors and had 5 passed balls, while gunning down 8 would-be base stealers out of 47 attempted.  I know he had 4 passed balls in the first few weeks so the fact that he's sitting at 5 would seem to suggest he's improved in that area as the season has progressed. I also followed a gamecast on milb about 3 weeks ago where a strikeout would've ended a game in extras but the runner advanced on a wild pitch and eventually scored the winning run, leading me to wonder how much of a chance Schwarber had at blocking the ball.  I know that's stupidly anecdotal but it's all I got.

Also, as far as his hitting goes (his OPS is still north of 1.000) someone pointed out on the radio yesterday that his numbers are pretty much identical to what Bryant's were since getting drafted.  I'll let someone else look that up.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

His last 10 games, he's OPSing 942.  On a 207 batting average and a 188 BABIP. He's got 11 walks and a 424 OBP in that time.  That's nuts.

Last I saw, they were actually a bit better. I've seen people using Bryant's promotion timeline to predict Schwarber's, but I don't think that's relevant because he's 1.) a catcher and 2.) the Cubs aren't in the same situation they were a year ago.

Bryant got 297 PAs at both AA and AAA. Schwarber's at 166.  Maybe he gets to 300 in about 45 days? That moves him to Iowa July 15. Sounds likely.

Is Hank White working only with the major league club, or has he been roving? Because I'd think him working with Schwarber would probably be a high priority item.

Again, I don't think he should be on the same timeline as Bryant. If they think his bat could help the major league team this year (which is probably debatable; they'd know better than us), he'll be up this year.

Moving him to Iowa 7/15 doesn't prevent him from being on the MLB roster at 8/31 and playoff roster eligible.

If they think he's valuable enough to help their theoretical playoff roster in 2015, why would they keep him in the minors for several more months?
