I also like that the Cubs apparently sold their entire Web site to the Illinois Lottery. Shrewd move.

  20. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:11 pm

I’m not going to say that the ESPN GameCast thing is a little behind, but is Chris Bosio really pitching for the Brewers?

  21. Chuck
Chuck on April 12, 2010 at 2:13 pm

Didn’t Illinois sell the Lottery in-turn?

  22. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:13 pm

They are reboarding a flight from Denver to DC right now, and the people who got on the plane and then had to get off, do not look enthused to be getting back on.

  23. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:14 pm

Maybe the Cubs bought the lottery?

  24. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:14 pm

Good to see Paul Sullivan is using the ChicagoBreakingSports.com blog to good use. He posted in the first when Soriano caught a flyball.

  25. santo10
    santo10 on April 12, 2010 at 2:15 pm

same chances of the cubs winning the world series as you have of winning the lottery

  26. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:16 pm

I thought it was typically Cub, that on Friday night, Lou started Nady in right figuring that with Silva on the mound there wouldn’t be many fly balls and the first two were hit right at Nady, for a triple and a sac fly.

ESPN’s photo of Lassie is still his Cubs one. They don’t expect his Brewers stay to be a long one, I guess.

  31. santo10
    santo10 on April 12, 2010 at 2:23 pm

Soriano is sad that no one cares about his single right now

From where I’m sitting I can see kiosks for Bose and Crocs. Who the hell buys stuff like that at the airport?

And judging by how soundly the Crocs girl is sleeping she’s not expecting a sale.

So which ones should I steal? Should I get some navy blue and orange ones, go stand by one of the gates and spout biblical verses until somebody asks if I’m Tim Tebow?

  39. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:32 pm

Crocs girl update. She’s awake…and she’s barefoot. How’s that for an endorsement?

She’s literally surrounded by rubber shoes and she won’t wear any of them.

  40. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:33 pm

Crocs girl has customers, and they’re pretty obviously lesbians. She might actually make a sale.

  41. Armchair_QB
    Armchair_QB on April 12, 2010 at 2:36 pm

O’Hare has a nice Mont Blanc pen kiosk. I slept on a cot behind it when I got stuck there one night.

  42. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:36 pm

No sale. They got distracted by the Jamba Juice and went there instead.

Casey McGehee’s picture makes him look like a 240 pound 70 year old.

Andy, if i read above correctly, i recommend ‘itza-wrap’ for lunch at Denver aiport. it’s at either the NE or SW corner of the center shopping/food area. reasonable prices for the quantity of food (for an airport).

  45. santo10
    santo10 on April 12, 2010 at 2:40 pm

I would get a Jamba Juice over some ugly crocs too

Besides a sore back that keeps preventing Lilly’s rehab start, he has laryngitis too.

  47. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:46 pm

I can see an itza wrap ad from where I’m sitting. I immediately had regret about the burrito I had for lunch. It wasn’t bad, but the itza wrap ad looks good.

  48. George Ofman
George Ofman on April 12, 2010 at 2:48 pm

The Cubs are lying about Lilly! It’s not his back it’s his elbow! I saw him doing the towel drill this morning.

By towel drill, I mean he was drying off his balls with one.

  49. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:49 pm

I thought Crocs girl left her kiosk unmanned, but apparently there are two of them working right now. Now that’s money well spent.

  50. santo10

I think its a ploy by the Iowa cubs to keep my buying good tickets when I have some free bad ones

  51. Andy
Andy on April 12, 2010 at 2:51 pm

I just realized that on the ESPN GameCast that a strike called looking is red, fouls are gray. I’ve been watching this for an hour and I never once saw Doug Davis get a red strike. I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did.

Nice inning Dempster. You have a seven run lead and follow up a single to a guy who can’t hit by walking Lassie then giving up a three run bomb and then walking Prince.

  62. Andy

Gamecast had a rough inning. It just sat there with Chris Narveson pitching and did nothing, then all of a sudden there was a flurry of activity it showed Cubs 9, Brewers 4 and then ended the half inning.

This just in, Mark Bortz just sold his condo for 4 bottles of Darvocet.
