Donnie is obviously out of his element.

#> Daytona Cubs win the Florida State League championship on 5 innings of 1-hit pitching from C.J. Edwards plus 4 innings of no-hit pitching from something called Ryan Searle.

Ryan Searle is Australian. I don't think the Cubs have ever had one of those.

I'd be interested to know if a team coming off 100 losses has ever had a farm team lock up a league title with 4 innings of no-hit pitching by an Australian before.

The previous record included three innings of no-hit pitching by an Australian.

Edwards and Searle also combined for a 2-hit shutout in the first round of the playoffs - Searle gave up the hits in that one. So there's that.

Ah, ol' one'eyed Mick McGillicacken, the erstwhile Cleveland Spiders farmhand. Totes forgot about him.

This numbering convention is Peter King-approved.  Although he'd like to see more mixing of numbers and letters.  Name three better ways to make lists than that.  You can't.
