1 win in the books for the boners.

3 of you fucknuggets down, 400 to go.

Seriously, who picks that game?

Why wait to pick the Steelers Week 3 vs. Cincinnati or Week 5 vs. Detroit or Week 6 vs. Cleveland or Week 9 vs. Denver or Week 10 vs. Cincinnati or Week 13 vs. Oakland or Week 14 vs. Cleveland when you can get a sure thing in overtime in Week 1 with the Steelers as the 6-point underdogs at home?

Because I'll pick somebody else those weeks.

In a double-fail, Yahoo tells me I've been eliminated despite the fact that I hadn't made my pick yet and was under the impression I had until "Sunday at 1:00 pm EDT" to do so.

Edit: Nevermind for now. "Please note that we are aware of the Sunday 1pm ET deadline bug that is preventing some users from entering their picks. We are working swiftly to fix it. Thank you for your patience."

I took the defending champs in their home opener as I do every year. It was bothersome that they had to play Tennessee, I did take a small birdbath vs. the spread. I can afford it but it sucks. You bet on people like Hines Ward and he pisses down his leg. That's a guy and a team I'll bet on time and again.

Next time--call Thrill's bookie.
I think he's more of the appendix of Desipio.  Yeah, it's here and you're vaguely aware of it, but only if reminded.  The only time anyone notices it is when it ruptures (on Weebs in the video game thread).  Beyond that, though, it's basically useless and offers no redeeming value.

I don't understand people taking the Stillers to win that game.  Shit, they barely pulled it out, didn't look all that great, and barely won in overtime.  If Bironas didn't fucking blow two field goals in the first half (yeah one was blocked), that game would have turned out the way it should have.  The most accurate kicker in the league fucking shanked the game winner in the first quarter.

IF Hines Ward doesn't fumble, they cover the spread. D'ur. They're the champs in they're home opener. There is no more solid lock on the board the rest of the year. Period.

Receivers fumble from time to time, Bironas rarely misses a chip shot like he did in that first quarter.  This weekend alone there are more solid locks.  New Orleans woopin on Detroit and Cincinnati taking down Denver are easy picks.

Cincy over Denver? Come on. Who knows what either of those teams are going to look like? And Matt Stafford's window licker will lick the windows of the non-believers.

Who knows?  The Poon knows.  Denver is going to be complete shit.  Hack offense that won't move the ball and Dawkins can't improve that wretched D by himself.  Go ahead and double cover Ocho Cinco.  That will leave Coles open way too often.  That game will be decided by more than a TD.  Matt Stafford will be crying in a little ball on the sidelines after he gives up two INT's in the first half alone.  Best part of that game will be picking which receiver scores the most TD's.

Did you just drive right into the Detroit/New Orleans game without any warning, or can you not actually tell the difference between Matthew Stafford and The Neckbeard?

6-0 Denver in the third. That's what you meant, right?

Oooh. Brandon Stokely just threw down somebody's romeo on when he caught the tipped pass for a long TD. Was that yours Poon? It'd be a damn shame if you weren't to bless us with your SURVIVAL tactics for the next 16 weeks or so. You were dead on balls accurate with the NO pick though. I should have picked them and saved the Steelers.
