OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

True story: after enduring the Cubs' inspiring 1-0 loss last night, I rode the El back north to the suburbs, sitting next to a guy with his two boys and his brother (?). The guy and his kids were Cub fans, with the old man wearing a Sean Gallagher jersey, one of the boys wearing a Derrek Lee jersey, and the youngest boy (maybe about 8 or 9) rocking a 1993 authentic Rick Wilkins jersey. Anyway, the old man's brother had gone to the Cub game with them, but was following the Sox game on his Iphone. "The team that matters," he smugly said, or something like that.

Anyway, he proudly announced to the train car that the Sox had taken the lead, and was all smile and douche when one of the boys (Rick Wilkins) leaned over and started cackling.  "Jim Thome! The only White Sox player I liked!" The poor uncle probably contemplated walking onto the tracks after getting off the train at Howard after what he endured the rest of the train ride.

Go Twins.

You could have had a ride.  But then we wouldn't have had this outstanding story.

I was literally writing "Will Hawk throw throw his half-living body out of the booth if Thome homers here?" and before I could finish typing (and I type at blazing speeds) Thome had destroyed one into the seats sending Hawk into irritating silence leaving Steve Stone to clean up the mess.

That was my first baseball related boner this year. Probably my only.

I love JI Thome.

I'm rooting for the Twins.

However, Peoria sucks.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

Jamar Smith and Brian Randle are surefire lottery picks.

And Thome - even though he's from Limestone and not Peoria proper - is the balls. That walkoff last night was tastier than an Avanti's pizza burger.
