RotanaWorld (via Biggs) reporting Cutler will not play this week, Collins to start.

Let me see if I can find a free range FACE farm for you.

I'm enjoying the hell out of PenPho getting beaten to death on the internet.

That's merely a flesh wound.

For the record, I watched Haney play against Cal.  Cal won, because it had a better team, but Haney was the best QB on the field and very scary for the Cal fans.

That's fine and all. But how did Hanie look? Did he get to play at all? It would be so Bears to draft the shittier of the two Colorado State QBs.

Not to sound like the inbred meatball that I'm about to sound like, but part of me would rather see Hanie.  I know that O-line was a sieve on Sunday, but still--Collins did nothing to make me forget  Jonathan Quinn.  I think at this point in his worthless existence he sucks more moose taint than Henry Burris.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

You should call that in to the Score.

I agree with you on one level, but I really feel like if the line is going to get a guy killed Sunday, it might as well be Collins. Then they can bring in Hanie and let him hand off 15 times and call it a day.

You all know what's going to happen, right?

1) Collins will have a decent passing day, like 19-33 250 yards, 2 TD 1 INT and the Bears will beat Carolina.
2) Cutler will be held out of the Seattke game as a precautionary measure, and Collins will have a similar game against another shitty team.
3) Cutler will play the Redskins and have a "terrible game," like 21-39, 240 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, and all the meatballs will be calling for him to be benched as the Bears lose.
4) Bye week will be spent debating who should start: Collins or Cutler....
5) Rick Morrissey and David Huh will write compelling pro-Collins pieces.
6) On Halloween, Ditka will take some hacks at Cutler during the most unwatchable NFL show ever. "I useta have a golden-boy QB who was always hurt so I hadta play Rusty Licks, Greg Landries, Steve Fullers and Doug Flutie and Mike Tomachack. Those guys were gamers, guys I wanted to have." The press will report this.
7) Lovie will repeat "Jay is our quarterback" in the week leading up to the Buffalo game in Canada.
8) With Kurt Evans and his photoshops in the vicinity, Jay will be thoroughly confused and bluff his way through the Bills game. The Bears still win, but Cutler looks terrible.
9) Collins is named the starter for the home game vs. Minnesota. He starts for the rest of the season as the 6-2 Bears enter a stretch in which they play Minnesota, at Miami, Philly, at Detroit, New England, at Minnesota, New York Jets, and at Green Bay. Bears beat Detroit and finish 7-9.
10) Cutler demands a trade and winds up in Tennessee for a 3rd round draft pick.
11) Derek Anderson is the starting QB in 2011.

I know your tongue is firnly planted in your cheek, Teej, but how can you be so jaded with the Bears and yet so idealistic with the Cubs when you lay out these hypotheticals?

With Collins sucking last week, it infinitely raises the likelihood that he'll be awesome next week
