As if this show wasn't titburgers enough, there's now a sniper with half of a face. The extended monologues they have at least one a week of (Chalky's bookcase story, Jimmy's barbed wire story) are just outstanding.

Yes indeed. And lesbain secks.

The scene where the turd henchmen gets shot through the window and water pitcher before the (I thought it was) Phantom of the Opera tune piped in was the best I've seen on television since Stinger Bell cashed his check. Rewound that joker twice, I did.

Chalky dealing some death and Van Alden's boss asking for the booze equivalent of dope on the table brought back pleasant memories of The Wire.

And last night's episode brought back pleasant memories of "O Brother Where Art Thou."

I am. Sunday's episode was probably my favorite of the series so far. Jimmy really opened that guy's throat for him.

Apparently the obnoxious young underling of Lansky/Luciano was supposed to be Bugsy Siegel.

Has anyone else sensed a different flavor this season?  There is a meaness about the violence.  Last season violence was just a part of the business of politics.  This season violence appears to be an end in itself.  There also appear to be more plot threads.  I think that as good as the show was last year, this season is better.

  SPOILER ALERT:

In real life Nucky went to prison.

I think the show is basically becoming "The Sopranos" as a period piece. Not that there's wnything wrong with this.

"Have Frankenstein drill a hole in his noggin."

No body count this week, but the lobster dinner scene at Babette's was a nice finish.
An episode to build story lines. Supposedly the Italian mobster Joe Masseria will be playing a bigger role in upcoming episodes.

And María de la Paz Elizabeth Sofía Adriana de la Huerta is a real piece of work.
