If Clinton hadn't repudiated Sister Souljah's comments about black people killing white people, the Democrats would be on the verge of nominating Donald Trump on a platform of bronzer, jingoism, and xenophobia.

The Democratic party would have become ruled by their radical elements. The Republican establishment never took for granted the extreme fringe was going to vote for them anyway, like Clinton did. So now they're being eaten by their own Frankenstein.

I'm not loving the myriad of polls and projections that give Trump a clear line to the presidency. And yet, I hope he gets the nomination because, deep down, I just don't believe he will have the support.

But ... if he in fact gets the support he needs, and somehow manages to win, then a big part of me thinks that America gets what it deserves.
